Dr. Nelson graduated from Rockhurst College with a B.S. in Biology. His education was completed by attending Creighton University School of Medicine located in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his residency program at our own Baptist Medical Center.

Dr. Nelson joined Northland Family Care in 2001. He provides care for patients in clinic, and sees adult and pediatric inpatients at Liberty Hospital. The physician-patient relationship is important to Dr. Nelson, and his goal is to provide the highest possible level of care. Special interests in medicine include Sports Medicine and Pediatrics.

In his spare time, Dr. Nelson enjoys spending time with his family. He is very active in competitive sports, such as basketball and football. He also enjoys attending various sporting events.
